MORE CHANGES - DAIRY GOATS FOR SALE!

For many years dairy goats were a huge part of our lives. We bred them, raised them, sold kids, milked them, and showed them in 4-H. Since moving to Arkansas, having kids (human) growing up and moving on, investing in other interests, and other goat projects (Arapawa and Cashmere), it has become clear that our dairy herd is just too large. We only need a handful to supply our milk needs even with the soap business. Frankly we have nice goats just going to waste right now. I'm so busy I've been talking about selling them for a year without even having the time to get them up on the internet!

I am offering these Mini Nubian and Nigerian goats at the price of $200 each, and I will take $50 off the price off each if you buy more than one. They are being sold for a dairy or pet herd only (not for meat). You are getting a healthy goat with a good milking pedigree. (CAE free, no abscesses or chronic wasting.) You may have to work with them a little to get them more tame. They are handled, but they have not been handled a lot lately. Up to date on deworming, copper bolus and hoof trimming. All does are dry - not in milk.

I recommend you have permanent goat fencing and do not rely on electric net fence - I have seen goats strangle to death in the stuff. Our goats get free choice hay and dairy goat ration. I've never known a dairy goat to do well with no grain. I don't recommend you try to go grain free. You need to have at least two goats as they are herd animals. I will take a deposit to hold if you set a date you intend to pick up. I will not hold goats without a deposit. CASH IS KING - please bring cash to pick up.

I will make a separate post for each goat available and will update the posts as they are sold. Photos are not necessarily current or taken to show the goats in their best light. I don't have the time to take show style photos. These are just to give you an idea. If you are serious about getting a goat, I encourage you to make an appointment to take a look. We are just north of Van Buren. Contact me at swgoats@yahoo.com for more information.
